Sally Clelford

Sally Clelford was born in Ottawa, Ontario and from a very early age demonstrated her love for performing. After catching the "acting bug" at age 14 and winning a contest to report the news on a local children's television program, producers saw the potential in Sally and cast her the following year in the show's own mini-series.

Sally spent the next few years working with the Ottawa Little Theatre Program, sharpening her skills as a young actor. In high school, Sally performed for the annual talent show with a comical dance number to Bananarama’s “I’m Your Venus” with a fellow classmate. Also performing in that same talent show was classmate Alanis Morrisette. Sally was also on the Improv team every year at Immaculata High School, competing under the invaluable coaching of senior class member Craig Lauzon (of Royal Canadian Airfarce fame).

In her early twenties, Sally went on to do some modeling, teach scuba diving in Jamaica for a few years and help run a kayak shop in Santa Barbara, California. It was then that she realized her heart was in entertaining people on the small and big screen.

With film, television and theatre experience under her belt, Sally has shown her skill as a dramatic artist and a comedian. Sally has also been a cast member of the very popular Big Time Productions team — who do shows all over the world.

Sally is currently working on the final drafts of her first script, currently untitled, which she hopes to produce sometime in the next year.

Her latest film project, where she plays the lead detective in the intelligent drama entitled “Fixation”, is currently in post production. Her latest television project, entitled “Wingman” where she plays the role of Jennifer, is in post production and currently being pitched to the networks.

Sally was nominated and elected as President of ACTRA (Ottawa Branch) and has been serving in this capacity for over two years.
